We all love Holidays....special days where we get to indulge in activities that we don't normally have time for, catch up with friends and family or just REST!

If you decide to take the activity route, living in South Australia gives you some great options of things to do. There are a lot of Parks, Nature Parks, Tours, Landmarks, Museums and restaurants that you can visit any time of the year. Surf & Sun have listed some of our fav picks to help inspire some planning!

  1. Spend the day at the beach and get involved in some water activities. South Australia has a collection of amazing beaches to choose from... so much so it makes the top of our list! It will come as no surprise (given we are a surf school - not biased, at all) that we suggest hiring a board and channeling your inner Kelly Slater. Surfing can be enjoyed by all ages, if you are with your family, you can sign up for a family lesson or if you are with friends you can sign up for group lessons. Surf lessons Adelaide is an activity that can be shared with everyone! In the cooler months, winter suits are available to help keep you warm!
  2. Sign up for a wine tasting tour. There are some of the worlds top wineries in the world here in SA and plenty of wine tours to satisfy the wine enthusiast within you. Wine-not make a day of it and nestle in somewhere for lunch, in warmer months there a some beautiful outside gardens and in winter, warm roaring fires!
  3. Visit one of the best landmarks or historic sites in Adelaide. If you want to travel to another country in a short period of time, you can visit Gouger Street / China Town and satisfy the foodie within you alternatively if you fancy stepping back in time you can visit Carrick Hill and embrace a wonderful rich art history and the beautifully manicured gardens. You will appreciate the preserved antiquity that was able to surpass the years.
  4. Treat yourself with a stroll through one SA's many parks. Pick up some of your favourite foods from the Central Markets, pack a book, rug, find a good spotify bliss-out playlist and a green noll a pull up for a few hours.  It helps to connect with nature and lets you breathe fresher air. If you have the kids with you why not engage them with a list of things they need to find...a nature treasure hunt!
