Summer Itinerary:

We pick you up from your Adelaide CBD accommodation at 6.15am and head down to the Fleurieu Peninsula to Middleton Beach for a FREE Surf Lesson with the Licensed Surf & Sun Surf School with all the equipment provided. We enjoy a picnic lunch on the Fleurieu Peninsula and then head to Victor Harbor for some short walks and a look at this picturesque town known in historic times as a Port and Whaling town. In the afternoon we head across to Kangaroo Island on our own private dolphin charter boat.

Winter Itinerary:

We pick you up from your Adelaide CBD accommodation at 6.15am and Head down to the Fleurieu Peninsula and Victor Harbor to see the Great Southern Whales.  Late morning we head across to Kangaroo Island on our own private dolphin charter boat.

Arriving on Kangaroo Island:

We take you to and from Kangaroo Island on our own exclusive dolphin charter boat* and as we make our way across backstairs passage, the skipper checks the best spots for dolphins.  If the weather is extremely rough we do take the SEALINK ferry to and from Kangaroo Island. We drive to our own accommodation located on the western end of Kangaroo Island bordering the Flinders Chase National Park called the Flinders Chase Farm. After settling in, you can enjoy a shower, check out the kangaroos and wallaby’s around the hostel and after a big dinner, head out for a nocturnal activity wildlife spotting, then sit around the campfire, laugh and toast some marshmallows.

On Kangaroo Island:

Once on Kangaroo Island, we set off in search of wildlife and adventure. Our guides have the power to tailor the itinerary depending on the weather and the group. With Surf & Sun, you are on an adventure with a maximum of 21 people, giving us flexibility and enabling us to visit the best places at the best times, on every tour.

You can unwind:

Relax in a comfy couch or hammock, listen to some tunes on the CD player or wander around our farm looking at kangaroo’s, wallaby’s, possums and other animals. Our accommodation at Flinders Chase Farm has fun activities to do and you will find loads of books and other interesting things.

We head back to Adelaide:

After an action packed 3 days, we jump back on board our dolphin charter boat* again searching for dolphins then head back to Adelaide and return you to your accommodation smiling and happy at around 8.30pm.

Day 3 – Wildlife Viewing and Adventure (B&L)

Often during the quiter periods the 2 and 3 day groups will combine, providing a very small group with more friends to enjoy the adventure with!

Itineraries often change due to the weather, the wildlife and the adventure of Kangaroo Island!  Surf & Sun guides have the freedom to change itineraries as they require to ensure the most wildlife is seen and to ensure every groups has the best time possible!

You need:

Comfortable clothes & shoes, a water bottle, small day pack, sunscreen & a hat, warm clothes for the cold nights, a sense of adventure anything you would require for taking photos, hiking and swimming.
