Heritage Bakery - Great place to eat at Middleton
4 May, 2015
Middleton on the Fleurieu Peninsula is an amazing seaside hometown. It is consists of around 1000 residents, swelling to more than 5x the amount in holidays and with around 2500 homes; many of which are available for holiday rentals. It also offers diverse types of activities for people to enjoy.
Kayaking, surfing and whale watching are must-do's while in Middleton. Especially during winter when the whales come in off the coast and at the nearby Basham's beach, the most popular surf beach in South Australia.
Middleton is also home to the famous Heritage Bakery which offers delicious pies, pastries, cakes and buns. It is super popular for surfers after their time in the ocean. Owners Mick and Vickie, together with their daughter Sky, have decked out the walls with amazing surf art, surf memorabilia and more.
The bakery has won numerous awards for its chocolate donuts and it is a great place to eat in Middleton on the Fleurieu Peninsula. It is also right next door to the Surf & Sun shop / office, so we are pretty biased!
So after your next surf lesson or surf hire, you must try the Heritage Bakery in Middleton (or Goolwa) for a tasty treat!
Come on down and enjoy as there are many things to do Middleton on the Fleurieu Peninsula.
